Grades…
My grades are alright… Bs all around. Except for one class, World Civilizations, which I don’t really care for. I’m maintaining a C in that class. Which I find acceptable. My GPA is around 4.1, a number I’m told is pretty good. That’s acceptable to me. My parents seem to think that this is about the worst thing in the world. I get lectures almost every night about how I’m not going to be able to make it into any good schools, and how I have to start working harder to keep my grades up. Dinner has become a time to yell at Hayden because of his poor grades.
These grades are not poor! They are acceptable!
I know of many other kids in school who are happy with Cs in all of their classes. They don’t seem to be having any trouble when you look at them. I’m working plenty hard to maintain my Bs, and if there’s one class in the world that I’m not so good at, so be it. I’m not good at it. A C is acceptable for a class that you’re not good at.
I agree that my studying habits could be improved… but do they need to? I don’t want the kind of lifestyle where school is one’s only focus in life. That’s no fun, and fun is what makes life worth living.
How do you manage to get a 4.1 with Bs and Cs? A 4.1 is like A+ in all your classes.
Oh wait, I forgot you were taking a honors classes, which are weighted heavier, so your Bs are As and your As are really high As, and your Cs Bs.
4.1, and your parents are yelling at you. In the lightest of terms, that is very harsh. You should move back, me thinks.
